Terms of Service

1. These terms

These terms are an agreement between Netrik (“Netrik”, “we”) and the business that creates a Netrik account (“you”). By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you accept on behalf of a company, you confirm you may bind it. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle data.

2. The service

Netrik lets your backend start face checks: a person registers their face once, and later checks confirm it is the same, live person. Results reach you through the dashboard, the API and signed webhooks. We may improve or change features over time. We will not remove a core feature you are paying for without notice.

3. Your account

• Netrik is for businesses. You must give accurate details and keep them current.
• Keep your sign-in, API key and private photo key secret. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us at once if you think it has been compromised.
• One account per business, unless we agree otherwise.

4. Your responsibilities for the people you verify

You decide whom to verify and why, so for their data you are the controller and we are your processor. You must:

• have a lawful basis, and where the law requires it explicit consent, for processing each person's biometric data, and give them the notices the law requires;
• comply with the data protection, gambling, anti-money-laundering and other laws that apply to you;
• use the results as one input to your own decisions, with a way for people to contest a wrong result where the law requires it;
• remove a person's data through the dashboard or API when you no longer need it, or when they ask and the law requires it.

We process their data only to provide the service to you, as described in the Privacy Policy. A data processing agreement is available on request at hello@netrik.online.

5. Acceptable use

You must not:

• use Netrik for mass surveillance, to identify people without their knowledge, or for any unlawful or discriminatory purpose;
• try to get around limits, credits or security, or access another business's data;
• copy, reverse engineer or resell the service, or use it to build a competing one;
• send malware or load that harms the service for others.

6. Plans, credits and payment

• Plans, credit prices and per-check costs are shown on netrik.online and in your dashboard. The Free plan's credits are a one-off trial.
• Paid plans are prepaid one month at a time in USDT on the Ethereum network, to the address shown in your dashboard. You pay any network fees. A payment counts once it is confirmed on the blockchain.
• If a paid month runs out unpaid, extra use is billed and your checks stop after the grace period shown in your dashboard, until you pay.
• Fees are not refundable, except where the law requires a refund. Blockchain payments sent to a wrong address or in a wrong amount may not be recoverable.
• We may change prices. New prices apply from your next paid month, and we tell you before they do.

7. Results are probabilistic

Face matching, liveness and anti-spoof detection are statistical. They are accurate but not perfect: they can occasionally accept an impostor or reject a genuine person, and age estimates are approximate. Netrik is built for fraud prevention and is not a certified liveness or identity verification solution. Final decisions about your users are yours.

8. Availability and support

We work to keep Netrik available and secure, but we do not promise uninterrupted service unless we agree a service level with you in writing. We may suspend the service briefly for maintenance or emergencies. Support is by email at hello@netrik.online.

9. Suspension and ending

You can stop using Netrik at any time and ask us to close your account. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, do not pay, or if your use creates legal or security risk, with notice where reasonable. After closure we delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Ownership

We own Netrik, its software and models. You own your data and your users' data. You give us permission to process it only to provide the service to you.

11. Disclaimers and liability

Except as these terms say, the service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Neither of us is liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or revenue. Our total liability under these terms is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

You will compensate us for claims from third parties, including the people you verify or authorities, that arise from your use of the service in breach of these terms or the law.

12. General

We may update these terms. We will tell you by email before a significant change takes effect; continuing to use Netrik after that means you accept it. Contact: hello@netrik.online.
